GitHub Contributor Guidelines
Be Direct & Descriptive
Clear, concise issue descriptions accelerate resolution. Include relevant context without unnecessary detail.
Use Appropriate Templates
Templates ensure you provide necessary information. Unlabeled issues take significantly longer to process.
Submit to Correct Repository
Issues filed in the wrong repo create confusion and delays. Take a moment to verify the best location.

New to GitHub? Read GitHub's official guides on creating issues and contributing to projects to get oriented.
2. Direct Code Contributions
Ready to contribute code, documentation improvements, or configuration changes? OpenDI follows standard GitHub collaboration workflows that make contributing straightforward for developers of all experience levels.
The standard workflow follows the fork → edit → pull request pattern familiar to GitHub users. Fork the repository, make your changes in your copy, then submit a pull request for review and integration.

⚠️ Critical Reminder: Always target the dev branch for all pull requests.
Pull requests submitted to other branches will not be merged and will require resubmission.
Versions & Documentation
OpenDI maintains versioned releases to ensure stability while enabling continuous improvement. The documentation site defaults to the latest stable release, ensuring most visitors see thoroughly tested, production-ready content. However, multiple versions remain accessible for contributors, developers, and users with specific needs.
